Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated that "it would be an unbearable sin to future generations to allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons." Therefore, stopping Iran from gaining nuclear capabilities has been one of the IAC's priorities. On April 10th, 2008 there was a hearing on H. 4270, cosponsored by Tony Cabral and Joan Menard, which would require the Pension Reserves Investment Management (PRIM) Board to divest from roughly 20 companies that are involved in Iran's oil and gas initiatives. JCRC worked closely with Cabral and other legislators to ensure that the hearing was a success. Now the resolution has passed through the Ways and Means Committee and is now awaiting a final vote.
