Stuart T. Rossman, Professional Biography
Stuart has been an active supporter of the Jewish community at home and abroad for much of his life.
Stuart was the Chairman of the United Jewish Appeal Young Leadership Cabinet from 1991 to 1992. During his term, he directly participated in the airlift of Soviet and Ethiopian Jews to Israel, led a solidarity mission to Israel during the Persian Gulf War and culminated his tenure with the 8th-annual UJA Young Leadership Conference in Washington, attended by the late Prime Minister Rabin and 3,100 participants. He is also active in the Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston (CJP) where he has served on its Executive Committee and Board.
Currently, Stuart is the Director of Litigation for the National Consumer Law Center in Boston, a national low income consumer public interest advocacy office. He is a member of the adjunct faculties at the Northeastern School of Law and at the Suffolk University Law School. Mr. Rossman currently serves on the Board of the Bureau of Jewish Education, and is a member of the Advisory Committees for the South Area Solomon Schechter Day School and the American Society for the University of Haifa New England Region.
Stuart graduated from the University of Michigan in 1975 and Harvard Law School in 1978, both with honors. Mr. Rossman is also a 1993 graduate of the Wexner Heritage Foundation Program.

- Acknowledged as one of Boston Jaycees Ten Outstanding Young Leaders, 1994

- Accepted the Thurgood Marshall Award from the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, 2005
- Was a Finalist for the Trial Lawyer of the Year awarded by the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, 2005

- Former President of the Massachusetts Association of Jewish Federations and Co-President of the Bureau of Jewish Education (BJE)
- Chosen member of the North American Jewish Forum and attended three Moriah Conferences with the Israeli Forum
- Formerly served CJP as the Chair of the Boston/Haifa Connection
- Chaired the Third Thursday Connections program
- Past Co-Chairman for Campaign Development and Enrichment
- Previous Co-Chair of the CJP/ Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston (JCRC) Solidarity Mission to Israel in November, 2001

- Selected as Co-Chair of the 1986-1987 Acharai program and served as a member of its Social Planning, Allocations and Overseas Committees.
