Through grassroots advocacy and professional lobbying, JCRC promotes public policy that reflects Jewish and universal values of social justice. In recent years, we have focused on repairing the safety net that sustains vulnerable families and individuals in Massachusetts. Our priorities are aligned with the vital services provided by Jewish community social service and workforce level agencies to ensure that they and their counterparts in the broader community have the state and federal funding needed to serve seniors, people with disabilities, new Americans, low-income families and individuals striving to become self-sufficient.
To advance its Public Policy Agenda, JCRC organizes an annual Jewish Community Advocacy Day at the State House, recognizes lawmakers at an annual legislative reception, trains lay volunteers in effective lobbying, and organizes letter writing, e-mail and telephone campaigns to demonstrate support for key issues of concern to the Jewish community.
