MicroEnterprise Initiative for Women (Jewish Vocational Service - JVS)
JVS partners with MATI Haifa, a workforce development organization in Israel, to oversee and provide expertise to the Micro Enterprise Initiative. The initiative empowers women at risk to start businesses and gain economic self-sufficiency by providing access to scarce capital. In addition to 50 loans (with a 100% repayment rate), the Micro Enterprise Initiative has provided technical assistance to countless women, including many mothers from the ERC.
