Jewish Community Center (JCC)

The Joint Distribution Committee established the JCC as part of a network of JCCs throughout the FSU in order to help meet the multi-faceted challenge of bringing sustainable Jewish renewal to the FSU.  It also provides numerous cultural and educational activities for children, adults, and elderly. The DKP brought the director of the Simcha Arts Center at the JCC to Boston to serve as artist-in-residence at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC in Boston.  JCC-donated student art provided a substantial amount of art for the Jewish Arts Rekindled exhibits shown in Boston in February 2002.  The JCC Choral Group contributed to JCRC’s CD project Koleinu B’Yachad.
