Applications for the 2011-12 Boston-Haifa Learning Exchange consists of two parts:
Resume and cover letter
Please send a resume and cover letter that includes your professional experience, education, community involvement, volunteer services and awards. This should give a complete picture of your work, leadership and civic engagement.
Personal Statement
In no more than two typed pages, please address the following questions:
- Why does this Learning Exchange interest you?
- Drawing on your experiences, describe the qualities you will bring to this Learning Exchange
- In what ways do you wish to develop professionally and personally through this Exchange?
Your personal statement should provide a sense of the personal background that you would bring to the Learning Exchange. Given our focus on social justice, the program will benefit from a richly diverse mix of perspectives and life experiences among participants. With that in mind, we appreciate your sharing cultural and/or racial identification, your religious affiliation, your cross-cultural experience, and any other relevant aspects of your personal background that might inform your perspective during the program (for instance, disabilities, GLBT identity, social philosophy, interests etc.)
