JCRC/MAJF Secures Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars for Agencies

On July 11, Governor Patrick signed the Fiscal Year 2012 Budget authorizing $30.6 billion in spending.  While there were a few vetoes to outside sections of the budget, the Governor did not veto or reduce any of the line-items that JCRC/MAJF have been advocating for and following.  In what has been the toughest and tightest budget in recent years, we can be proud that many of our programs were protected and some even received increases. This is a culmination of intense advocacy efforts over the last 12 months with our coalitions and with our community.  This was possible thanks to the support of all of you and the relationships we have developed with key legislators and administration officials.  As it always is, our work is not over.  We will continue to make our presence felt on the hill to ensure successful implementation and advocate for additional funds in supplemental budgets. A special thank you to all of our champions in the legislature and administration for their support of our community.
