In response to the escalation of terror attacks on Israel in recent days, Jeremy Burton, Executive Director of JCRC of Greater Boston, released the following statement:

“The Jewish Community Relations of Greater Boston stands in solidarity with Israel, affirming its right to defend its citizens against all threats and to live in security, without fear of terrorist attacks.

“Among other terrorist groups, Hamas has taken explicit responsibility for these attacks, and announced yesterday that its military wing fired 10 Grad rockets into Israel.  We deplore these ongoing attacks as a dangerous escalation and call upon the international community to continue holding Hamas and its regional allies accountable for their terrorist acts.”

Since Monday, nearly 100 rockets have landed in Israel, causing injuries and physical damage and making normal life impossible for many Israelis.
