Jewish Community Expresses Outrage At Jerusalem Bus Bombing
(Boston, November 21) Nancy K. Kaufman, Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, called today's suicide bombing on a Jerusalem bus a "barbaric" act intended to kill and harm innocent civilians. Ms. Kaufman also expressed support for Israel's unquestionable right to protect its citizens.
"Today's attack in Jerusalem was barbaric and intended to kill, maim and terrorize innocent civilians," said Kaufman. "Among the victims were infants, children and teenagers. 280 members of our community have just returned from Israel; we can attest to the state of mind of her people. Israelis are living in terror, and their fears are justified. The only way for Israelis and Palestinians to resolve their differences is for acts of terror to cease."
We express our profound condolences to the relatives and friends of those killed and injured as a result of this latest act of terror. We holeheartedly support Israel's right and duty to protect its citizens from constant and unyielding threats to their lives.
