JCRC Condemns Terror Attack in Tel Aviv Restaurant by Islamic Jihad
(Boston-January 19, 2006) The Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston issued the following statement today following the suicide bombing at a falafel restaurant in south Tel Aviv that injured 30 Israelis.
"JCRC categorically condemns this act of terror. Islamic Jihad, motivated by radical Islam, and other terrorist organizations are the greatest single threat to a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
With Palestinian elections just one week away, it is imperative that the Palestinian Authority do everything in its power to stop terror. Unless terror ceases, there can be no hope for peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
We join with the Israeli people and their government in condemning this vicious act and offer comfort to the injured and those affected by the attacks. Our prayers are with them and we hope for their speedy recovery."
