Submissions DUE April 4, 2025. The 19th Annual Israel Arbeiter Holocaust Essay Contest. Open to Students in Grades 6–12. Submit a 400–800 Word Essay. Reflect on the lessons of the Holocaust and their relevance today. By exploring the history of Holocaust, we can understand how hatred, prejudice, and dehumanization can escalate into violence — and how we all play a role in preventing history from repeating itself. Six winners will receive an educational trip to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. Presented by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, Combined Jewish Philanthropies, Facing History and Ourselves, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany to Boston, the American Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors of Greater Boston, and many generous donors.
