    Location: Boston, MA

    Compensation: $85K – $90K

    Schedule/ Shift: 35 hours/week

    Job Description

    JCRC is currently seeking a multitalented Director of Staff and Operations to join their team. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Staff and Operations will coordinate and set strategic direction for all organizational operations in this fast-paced non-profit. This person will manage the day-to-day operations, including creating a calendar for programs and events, budget management, HR functions, and office management. The Director of Staff and Operations will partner with the leadership team to ensure success and inspire staff to do the same.

    Please note that this is a hybrid position, working in the office a minimum of 2 days a week.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Oversee day-to-day company operations; directing, planning, and coordinating tasks, as needed, to ensure that the organization is operating efficiently and that all members of the team have what they need to succeed
    • Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes
    • Manage JCRC’s calendar of operations, programs, and events by scheduling dates and determining timelines
    • Proactively drive the planning, preparation, and deliverables for meetings, events, and engagements
    • Manage financial processes in conjunction with outsourced finance & accounting vendor; partner with the finance committee to ensure money is allocated correctly
    • Devise strategies and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
    • Manage relationships with third party vendors, such as IT and HR service providers, to ensure that high quality services are being delivered
    • Review and approve payroll and work with third-party HR consultant to ensure regulatory compliance
    • Responsible for other HR functions as needed, including hiring
    • Maintain a positive work environment and foster healthy relationships among employees by ensuring that employees feel supported, heard, and valued by the organization
    • Oversee day to day office management including ordering office supplies and coordinating with others on general office duties like answering the main telephone inquiry line, baseline office support, and other issues

    Qualifications:

    • 5-7 years of relevant experience in a non-profit or related setting is preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or other related field preferred
    • Strong project management skills with focus on deadline driven calendar
    • Experience with event planning and data collection is a plus
    • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) and web-based database management preferred
    • Ability to work and thrive in fast paced environments balancing time across a wide range of activities and prioritizing the most impactful work
    • Proven excellence in verbal and written communication
    • Solid team player with a collaborative approach to work

    Perks / Benefits:

    • This is a full-time position with a 35-hour work week
    • Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 annually
