In 2016, over 200 volunteers from the Jewish community joined in our first annual MLK Day of Service. This year, we have service opportunities across Greater Boston in a variety of locations, offering specific opportunities for families, individuals, and young adults.

Open to all ages 4+

Join St. Stephen’s Youth Programs and Blackstone Innovation School for the 2017 MLK Day of Action. Volunteers will be painting the school, organizing the library, working in the greenhouse, painting murals, and cleaning and organizing classrooms.

Time: 9:30am-2:00pm

Location: Blackstone Innovation School, South End

Lunch will be provide by St. Stephen’s.  Vegetarian options available.

Open to all ages 5+

Join over 700 people to create exciting tools for learning for Boston Public Schools including “make your own robot kits”, engineering kits, science-themed murals, math games and math flash cards.

Time: 10:00am-1:00pm (Kick-off at 10:00am sharp)

Open to young adults in their 20’s and 30’s

Connect with seniors while learning about Jews and the Civil Rights Movement and discuss Jews’ role in activism in the past and present day.

Time: 1:30-3:00pm

at the Cambridge MLK Day of Service FULL  

Open to all ages

Join people from all walks of life to make a difference in the community by creating Valentine’s Day cards for elders and veterans, restocking the city’s food pantries and clothing exchanges, making fleece scarves and blankets for homeless children, and adults and more.

Time: 2:00-5:00pm

Location: Central Square, Cambridge
