Volunteering Before the Holidays:
Hebrew SeniorLife, 1550 Beacon – CLOSED
Volunteers will be assembling and delivering small, seasonally-themed gift packages with sweet and savory food items.

Yachad Chanukah Celebration – CLOSED
Set up for the party and then connect with Yachad members and their families while celebrating the 6th night of Chanukah. There will be one party in the afternoon for families and one in the evening for adults.

Volunteering on Christmas Eve:
The Outdoor Church – FULL
Hand out hats, gloves, and sandwiches to the homeless in Harvard Square and Central Square. Volunteers are welcome to bring hats or gloves to donate, although that is not required for this project.

Location: Meet at Harvard-Epworth United Methodist Church in Harvard Square
The Outdoor Church is a church for homeless and street-involved men and women in Cambridge.
*Please note this is an outdoor volunteer opportunity that will happen rain or shine so please dress for the weather.
Volunteering on Christmas Day:
St. Francis House – FULL
Serve as “waiters” for a restaurant style meal for 500 men and women in need.
Time: 10:45am-2:00pm
Location: Downtown Boston on Boylston Street
St. Francis House is the largest day shelter in New England and serves more than 600 poor and homeless men and women a day, 365 days a year. The basic, rehabilitative, and housing services overlap and build on one another to provide guests with continuous and comprehensive care.
Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly
Visit with 1-2 seniors and deliver them a hot meal, bouquet of flowers, and small gift (provided for you) in small groups. **Will need to complete an additional registration form and CORI**
Time: 11:00am-2:00pm
Location: Meet at Northeastern University and deliver to elders throughout the city. No car is necessary. Most elders live within a 10 minute walk of the MBTA. Elders live in nursing homes, apartments, and single family homes.
Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly is a national network of non-profit volunteer-based organizations committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly and offer the opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and celebration of life.
Center Communities of Brookline: Hebrew SeniorLife, 100 Centre Street
Join residents at HSL for an afternoon of conversation and board games. Feel free to bring your favorite games with you!
